These terms govern your use of the original app and the original.me website, operated by system operator.

The app

original is a native macOS application that reads and edits data already on your Mac — Apple Notes, Reminders, Contacts — and a folder of markdown files you control. You are responsible for the data you edit and for keeping your own backups. original includes safety features (backup-on-first-sync, conflict copies) but is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind.

Purchases

original is distributed through the Apple App Store. Purchases, subscriptions, refunds, and taxes are handled by Apple under the App Store terms. Pro features and the write-back engine are unlocked by your App Store purchase.

Acceptable use

Don't use original to break the law, infringe others' rights, or attempt to circumvent Apple's platform protections. We may update the app and these terms; material changes will be posted here.
